Browse workshop proof tagged to big brake kit (bbk) upgrade at our Kaki Bukit workshop.

The A8L carries heavy cast rotors at every corner. That mass sits below the suspension, so it works against braking response, ride quality and steering feel long before the pads are the limiting factor.
Changed to StopFlex carbon ceramic race rotors and weighed each piece before and after. Fronts went from 12.6kg to 6.8kg and rears from 9.3kg to 5.5kg, which is 19.2kg of unsprung weight off the car once all four corners were done. Less mass to stop and less for the dampers to control means shorter stopping distances, quicker throttle response and better heat handling under repeated braking.

The owner wanted braking that stays consistent on the road and on track. On a car this quick, stock hardware starts to fade once you string hard stops together, so the front and rear had to be specified as one package rather than a caliper swap.
Fitted AP Racing Pro 5000R nickel plated 9668 calipers with 390mm J Hook rotors at the front, and 9449 calipers with 355mm J Hook rotors at the rear, running high temperature Endless pads all round. Everything was trial fitted for wheel and barrel clearance, hoses routed cleanly, fasteners torqued to spec, then bled and bedded before handback.

Modern brake systems keep changing, and careful work starts with current knowledge rather than guesswork.
Our team attended Brembo technical training on braking technology and system checks. The session helped us keep our inspection and fitment approach current for the brake work we handle in the workshop.

Customers wanted a premium brake upgrade for better control and visual presence, while still keeping the car predictable for normal Singapore use.
Brembo Pista components were trial-fitted, checked against wheel clearance, and installed with attention to hose routing, fastener torque, and bleed quality before handback.

Owners wanted a stronger big-brake setup without gambling on wheel clearance, pedal feel, or daily-drive usability.
AP Racing hardware was matched to the vehicle, checked for spoke and barrel clearance, fitted cleanly, and prepared for proper bedding so the upgrade delivers confidence rather than just a showpiece caliper.

Vehicle raised for full access underneath — common when inspecting steering, suspension, brakes, or addressing leaks you cannot see from the topside.
Safe lift height, systematic inspection under load areas, and torque-critical fasteners checked so nothing goes back loose.
