Driveshaft failure risk on a GLA180: torn CV boot and grease leakage, so dirt and water could enter the joint. CV joints need grease to stay smooth — without it, internal bearings wear faster. Owners often hear a rhythmic click when turning and feel vibration under acceleration; in a worst case the shaft can fail and you lose drive or get stuck. The shaft carries power from the engine to the wheels, so damage hurts performance and safety.
